Secondary Education

There are three secondary schools in Caithness and North Sutherland. Two are located in the main towns of Caithness - Wick and Thurso - and one in Bettyhill on the north coast.  Further information on secondary education in Caithness and North Sutherland can be found on The Highland Council website.

Construction is to start in August 2013 on a new Wick Campus, due to open to all users in August 2015. As well as providing a modern replacement for the existing Wick High School, the Campus will also contain a new primary school – replacing the existing Pulteneytown and South schools – and a new public library and swimming pool, consolidating the existing facilities into a central community hub.

Caithness also has a number of excellent primary schools.
