Supply Chain Diversification Programme
The Supply Chain Diversification Programme is a business initiative aimed at stimulating and encouraging the Dounreay supply chain companies away from its dependence on Dounreay nuclear site related activity.
The programme aims to encourage and support growth of diversified supply chain enterprises specifically looking at business opportunities in the engineering, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
There are a number of activities aimed at increasing the capacity of the supply chain businesses to strengthen strategic planning, identify new business opportunities, bid for and win work in new sectors – these include workshops, attendance at exhibitions and conferences and support to develop diversification plans.
The programme is led by Caithness Chamber of Commerce and has been funded by Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd, Highland Council and is supported by Business Gateway and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
